Comment:

We have carefully assembled a multi-disciplinary team; a smorgasbord of complementary skills, whose whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Valuation and Property Tax experts are an integral part of that team. We are looking for two valuation professionals to join them.

From our headquarters in Halifax, Nova Scotia we undertake assignments from British Columbia to Newfoundland and all provinces in-between. But in truth, we are still a work in progress: there are still mountains to climb and plains to conquer. We are seeking Senior Valuation Consultants, professionals with vision who can see the forest, not just the trees. These are not typical appraisal or property tax positions grinding out cookie cutter assignments. We are seeking professionals focused on assisting clients meet their strategic goals, not just their immediate needs. If you are an Accredited Appraiser (AACI), Chartered Surveyor (F/MRICS) or Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with several years’ experience under your belt currently living in, or interested in moving to, Halifax, Nova Scotia, this may be the opportunity you are seeking. These are salaried positions with the opportunity to make quarterly bonuses based on productivity.

Most of the travel is in Atlantic Canada, an area of outstanding natural beauty, bounded by a restless ocean. But this is no rural backwater. It is an interesting place to live, work and bring up a family. The Region is diverse, geographically, linguistically, and culturally. It is changing rapidly and the assignments are varied and often challenging.

While the exigencies of some assignments may sometimes require work outside normal office hours it is our view that this should be the exception rather than the rule: we believe strongly in a civilised work-life balance and conduct the firm’s operations accordingly. We offer a collegiate, team orientated, supportive, work environment. Our IT resources are state of the art.
