Nova Scotia Power Incorporated, the province’s privately owned electrical utility wanted to strengthen its links to the wider North American grid by constructing a 345 KV transmission line from Onslow, Nova Scotia to the New Brunswick border. This entailed acquiring a 96 kilometre long land corridor to accommodate the new transmission line. Turner Drake were retained to assess compensation for the 196 properties and negotiate their acquisition.
