Senior Manager - Ashley Urquhart, BBA, DULE

Ashley joined Turner Drake in 2009 with two years of business experience after graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax. She was granted a Diploma in Urban Land Economics (DULE) from the University of British Columbia in 2013. Ashley has also completed the Saint Mary's University course on Negotiation and Conflict Resolution.

Ashley has experience in our Lasercad® Division certifying office, industrial, retail and residential space to the appropriate BOMA, SIOR, ULI and CREA standards throughout the Maritime Provinces.

She is an experienced researcher having worked in our Economic Intelligence Unit gathering rental and operating expense data on office and industrial space for the Market Surveys we conduct on a semi-annual basis throughout the Atlantic Region.

Ashley also has experience in our Valuation and Counselling Divisions. Her involvement in the latter Division includes negotiating the acquisition of the lands required for the power transmission right of way in Nova Scotia for the Muskrat Falls project. She has also been involved in negotiations for various expropriation assignments, including those for highway widening and power transmission lines.

Ashley is the Broker of Record (licensed to trade in real estate in the Province of Nova Scotia) and is a member of the Nova Scotia Association of Realtors. Ashley is also licensed to trade in real estate in the Province of Prince Edward Island. She became Senior Manager of our Brokerage Division in 2015. She assists landlords and tenants meet their space requirements, and vendors and purchasers optimise their property portfolios.

Consultant - Emily McClelland, BBA

Emily joined Turner Drake in 2018 following two years of business experience after graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Mount Saint Vincent University. She is currently enrolled in the Diploma in Urban Land Economics (DULE) at the University of British Columbia, and has completed Negotiation and Conflict Resolution training at Saint Mary’s University.

Since joining Turner Drake, Emily has undertaken the day-to-day Business Development operations of the company. Emily was appointed Manager of our Lasercad^® Division in 2022.  As a lead consultant in that division she conducted the measurement of office, industrial, and retail space to the appropriate BOMA and BOMA/SIOR Standards in buildings located throughout Atlantic Canada.

In 2021, Emily became a licensed real estate salesperson in the Province of Nova Scotia, and is a member of the Nova Scotia Association of Realtors. She gained experience with our Economic Intelligence Unit gathering in-depth information on office and industrial space throughout the Atlantic Region. Emily has a firm grasp on the Nova Scotia market, particularly in the Halifax Regional Municipality. She is able to utilise her experience in commercial real estate consulting and business development to assist clients in reaching their goals through an efficient and personalised transaction process.
